The Italian Center was founded in 1928.  It was, and remains, an independent fraternal not-for-profit organization. We strive to promote and preserve the Italian heritage and culture of our sizable membership, and to promote goodwill among members and the community.   Conveniently located in Poughkeepsie NY, on the eastern bank of the Hudson River midway between Albany and New York City, the Italian Center occupies a beautiful historic landmark building.

To support our Club we use our facility to cater parties for our members and for the public.  We staff our  fully licensed bar and kitchen with professional bartenders, chefs, and waitresses. The facility  accommodates parties of 25 to around 200 people.  We regularly host weddings, showers, anniversaries, retirement parties, class reunions, baptisms, confirmations, office parties, association dinners, etc..  Our reviews are consistently OUTSTANDING!

Whether you need an elegant dinner-dance with live entertainment, an industrial strength dinner meeting, or a  family party of sorts, you can be sure you�ll find our hospitality classic and our prices very reasonable.  Our volunteer member workers and paid staff represent our Club and our heritage.  For us it is a matter of PRIDE.  That is as important to us as any monetary consideration. We take our hospitality seriously.  It is in our nature.
